Our Story
After decades spent inside hospitality businesses - from the pressure of service to the complexity of managing food cost, teams and operations - one thing became clear: incredible chefs and operators were working hard, but too often without the systems, structure or support needed to run consistently profitable kitchens.
What began as practical problem-solving inside real venues evolved into something much bigger. Following the success of Cooking the Books, founded by Andrew Briese and grown into one of Australasia’s leading kitchen management platforms.

Andrew Briese is a chef, hospitality tech founder and industry educator known for helping kitchens turn operational chaos into clarity and profit.
Before writing a single line of code or designing a hospitality workflow, Andrew spent over 30 years working in kitchens of all kinds. He gets the challenges and he’s felt the pressure. He’s not afraid to tell it how it is and is driven to change the industry for the better.
Andrew now works across Australia and internationally as a trainer, host, MC and leading advisor. His industry leadership and first-hand know how helps him to share on the mot practical of insights.
