TABIT

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of working with the TABIT POS boys — Amine and Jad — while helping set up The Plan, owned by some good friends of mine.
We were absolutely flat out over the Mother’s Day weekend service, and I just wanted to acknowledge how impressive these guys were.
Not only were they helping the kitchen team, but they were also heavily involved with the front-of-house crew, making sure everyone understood the system and how it operated. They even jumped in and helped run meals when things got busy. That sort of service and attitude says a lot about an organisation.
Now, being an old-school kitchen guy, I’ve always loved a docket system. But I have to admit… TABIT may have converted this old dog to the touchscreen world.
At one stage during service, I asked the chef on the pass how many curries and pies we had on order. Before the chef could answer, Amine had already pulled the numbers up within seconds with the click of a button.
It was genuinely impressive to see how far the technology has come and how smoothly it worked in a high-pressure service environment.
A huge thank you to Amine, Jad, and the TABIT team. Great people, great support, and a very impressive system.
